A high-level delegation from the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) held talks with Syrian officials here on Monday on the situations of the Palestinian refugees amid the ongoing conflict. The delegation, led by head of the PLO refugee affairs department Zakaria Al-Agha, discussed the issue with Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Al-Meqdad. The two sides also discussed ways to enhance the bilateral ties and Syrian support to the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for self-determination, according to a statement by the Syrian Foreign Ministry. Al-Meqdad reaffirmed Syria's keenness on the safety of the Palestinian refugees and on keeping them away from the current events, the statement pointed out. On their part, the PLO delegation briefed the Syrian side on the latest developments of the situations in the occupied Palestinian territories and voiced best wishes for Syria, it added.
