
Police have detained a total of 29 Taksim Gezi Park protesters inAnkara and Izmir. Police warned the crowd gathered in Turkish capital of Ankara to disperse, and later intervened in the protesters using tear gas and water cannon. 16 people who erected barricades and hurled stones at police in Dikmen district in Ankara were detained. Police also detained 13 people on charges of being member of terror organization, attacking police and destroying public properties in the western province of Izmir, increasing the number of detainees to 29. 14 people were detained on June 20 and 13 were arrested. The number of policemen who were injured since the protests broke out more than 3 weeks ago has reached 680.
