
Commander of Mirjaveh Border Regiment Colonel Hossein Baneshi said that his forces have seized a large amount of illicit drugs from armed drug traffickers in Mirjaveh in Iran\'s Southeastern Sistan and Balouchestan province. “We have seized over 1,800 kilograms of narcotics from drug traffickers,” Colonel Baneshi said. “1,740 kilograms of the seized narcotics was opium and 108 kilograms of it was heroin,” he added, the Islamic republic news agency reported. The police commander noted that eight drug traffickers were arrested by the police during its operations in Mirjaveh.
