President Hadi: GCC initiative only path to meeting Yemenis aspirations

Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi said full compliance with the Gulf Cooperation Council\'s initiative was the \"only path\" to honoring aspirations of Yemeni people. \"Completing the implementation of the Gulf initiative is the only path to honoring hopes and aspirations of the Yemeni people,\" Hadi said in televised speech Sunday marking the 50th anniversary of the October 14 revolution and advent of Eid Al-Adha, Muslims\' grand feast. Hadi underlined he would now allow obstruction of the march of change and reform, or the completion of the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism. He accused those who tried to obstruct change of having \"bad intention towards the country and want to drag the country to civil war.\" Hadi said national unity was a major pillar towards the construction of a new Yemen based on justice, equality and rule of law. The Yemeni President reiterated commitment to fighting Al-Qaeda and terrorism.
