
President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Monday with China\'s ambassador to Yemen Chang Hwa and a Chinese delegation of the Foreign Aid Department, visiting Yemen currently to arrange for the President\'s visit to China. During the meeting, the President praised the generous Chinese assistance provided to Yemen since the Yemeni revolutions September and October, particularly the Sana\'a-Hodeida and Aden-Mukalla Roads. I look forward with confidence to the results of my visit to China, which is extraordinary significant in all dimensions, Hadi said, adding that Yemen still needs to different developmental aid. He said that one of the most important goals of his visit to China is to give thanks and appreciation to China that, alongside the UN Security Council permanent members, stood by Yemen during the crisis and the difficult conditions. The President stressed that his talks with the Chinese President and senior officials will focus on bilateral relations and the Chinese aid in infrastructure areas, topped by electricity, ports, health and technical education in addition discussing the implementation and partnership of many other projects. \"Today, China is a major economic power. It needs large marketing outlets and Yemen with its location that connects the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula and is in middle between Europe and China will do every effort to develop its trade and economy to serve as a liaison between China and these areas,\" Hadi said. He welcomed Chinese investment in various fields in Yemen, especially in oil, gas, cement and other fields, stressing they will enjoy all the support and care. The Chinese ambassador expressed his happiness of the President\'s visit to China, which will strengthen the fifty-year-long relations between the two countries. There are great arrangements for the President\'s upcoming visit, which will represent a positive significant shift in the friendly relations between Yemen and China, Hwa said.
