President urges TOTAL group to expand its activities in Yemen

President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Thursday with Chairman of the French energy company TOTAL Christophe De Margerie, where they discussed areas of cooperation and partnership between Yemen and TOTAL Group and means of altering the price of Yemen liquefied natural gas sold to TOTAL.The Yemeni News Agency said that President Hadi stressed the need to strengthen cooperation, expand the company's business and develop sectors of exploratory owned by TOTAL in Yemen. He also pointed to the need to address the issue of utilizing gas to generate electric power.For his part, the TOTAL Chairman spoke about the strategic relationship with Yemen and the exploration and development of oil fields, stressing that TOTAL desires to develop and strengthen the relationship with Yemen and modify LNG prices for the interests of both sides.
