His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today visited the Ministry of Education. He was accompanied on his visit by His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa and Dr Majid bin Ali Al-Naimi, the Minister of Education. During the visit, His Royal Highness examined the Ministry’s strategies and plans focused on improving the level of education in Bahrain, curricula, and the development of schools, and he highlighted Bahrain’s achievements in the education sector whilst emphasizing the need for further effort to accomplish the Kingdom’s education goals. His Royal Highness highlighted that all the members of the Ministry of Education must play a role in achieving this success and that the process will require devotion and strategic planning in order to meet the requirements of younger generations. His Royal Highness also noted the fact that the education sector in Bahrain plays an important role in the kingdom’s prosperity and is key to sustaining economic growth. His Royal Highness went on to stress the importance of developing schools through meeting the standards of the Quality Assurance Authority. As part of this development, His Royal Highness also pointed out the importance of improving the educational environment for special needs’ students, and emphasised the valuable role of nursery school provision in supporting female participation in the workforce. His Royal Highness mentioned that the education sector is an important sector that enjoys the full support of His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa the Prime Minister, due to significance of education in a nation’s development and prosperity. His Royal Highness praised the role of the devoted professionals in the education sector, recalling dedicated role models who had contributed to education in Bahrain. As part of his visit, His Royal Highness toured the Ministry’s departments and listened to briefs on strategies and plans to improve education in Bahrain.His Royal Highness also met a number of citizens and listened to their opinions on the services provided by the Ministry. For his part, the Minister of Education affirmed that the directions of His Royal Highness were a great motivation to enhance the Ministry’s performance and achieve greater success in the education sector.
