An in-depth profile of suspected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is the cover story of the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone contributing editor Janet Reitman spent two months talking to childhood and high school friends, teachers neighbors and law enforcement agents about the 19-year-old suspected of killing three runners and a police officer, the Boston Globe reported. Some of the sources spoke for the first time about Tsarnaev, who pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a 30-count federal indictment, Rolling Stone reported. The article revealed it wasn\'t until law enforcement mentioned a public plea from Tsarnaev\'s high school wrestling coach for the young man to give himself up that the teen emerged from a boat in which he was hiding shortly before his arrest. Tsarnaev downplayed his religion in high school but also once got upset at a friend, who converted to Islam, for treating it casually. The teen kept quiet about his troubled home life at school. His parents had left the children in the United States to go back to Russia and both his older sisters were estranged. Brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, had become increasingly devoted to Islam and judgmental of all non-Muslims, the article said. He was killed as the pair fled in a police chase days after the marathon bombing.
