Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed his country's full support for Egypt and the transitional government following the June 30 Revolution. In a telephone conversation with interim president Adly Mansour, Putin said he received a report from his foreign and defense ministers who have just visited Egypt. Putin stressed keenness on boosting bilateral relations with Cairo, particularly in the economic and military fields, a statement by the presidency said on Saturday. The Russian president said he is looking forward to maintaining a direct contact with Mansour, the statement added. Mansour made it clear to Putin that Egypt's decisions will remain independent. He told him Cairo is seeking to have strong ties with all effective parties in the world community - including Russia - but not at the expense of its relations with other parties. Mansour invited Putin to visit Egypt, stressing hope to develop bilateral ties at all levels.
