
The State of Qatar, represented by delegation of the Preparatory Committee of the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, is participating in the regional preparatory meeting, currently in session in Bangkok.The Qatari delegation is headed by the Legal Advisor to HE the Interior Minister Maj. General Dr. Abdullah Yousuf Al-Mal.The meeting discussed the topics on the agenda of the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice which will be held in Doha in April 2014.UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is held every five years. It is considered to be one of the biggest international events organized by the UN, as it sees the participation of all the world countries and international organizations.A workshop was held between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Thailand on the preparations for the 13th Conference on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. It discussed a number of topics related the preparations for the conference, the lessons learned from previous conferences and Thailand experience in organizing the 11th conference in 2015
