Member of Parliament Hani Qobaissi said during a memorial service for Amal movement in the south that the only way to achieve stability and peace in Lebanon is through dialogue. "We are enduring these conspiracies and plots which aims to sow discord in the Arab and Muslim world and is also targeting love and peace among the nations," the MP said. He repeated that the Lebanese resistance has defeated Israel repeatedly over the past few years. The MP warned that the ongoing war in the region has turned into sectarian and confessional wars. "They have turned Islam into a religion of wars and conflicts between different religious sects and confessions. This Arab Spring which some promised us with has turned into a purely sectarian and confessional spring," Oobaissi stressed. He added that blood is being shed in some part of the region in the name of religion and Islam. The MP feared that the aim of these confessional battles raging in the Arab world is to divide these nations into religious states. "The only one which will benefit from the ongoing conflicts in the region is Israel." He called on all Lebanese political groups to cast aside their differences, close ranks and start a national dialogue.
