Qom welcomes \'Global March to Jerusalem\'

A group called “ Global March to Jerusalem” arrived in the city of Qom on Friday afternoon and was welcomed by city residents. Members of the group are social activists from India, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and some other Islamic countries who are travelling to different countries with the aim of Islamic awakening and declaring the oppression of Palestinians. Removing blockade of Gaza Strip and freedom of the Holy Qods are among main mottos of the group. Among 150 members of the group, 25 are women and 40 are Iranian. Members of the group will attend a commemoration gathering here in Qom. The group is scheduled to arrive in Jordan on March 30, 2012, on the anniversary of the Zionist regime attack against Galilee in Jerusalem (1976). Groups from Asia, Australia, Africa, South and North America, and one from London will arrive in Jordan. The group “ Global March to Jerusalem” entered Iran from south eastern border of Mirjava on March 15 and will depart country from northwestern border of Iran.
