Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, said Tuesday during Christmas Mass at Bkirky that the Lebanese aspired to settle their current crisis through the meeting of their representatives at the dialogue table. \"The Lebanese expect officials...to gather around dialogue table. Consequently they can meet deadlines and cope with local, regional and international challenges,\" he said. \"Do not fear sacrifices in favor of dialogue,\" he told officials, stating that nations were built on the sacrifices of those in charge. In the context of the birth of Christ, the patriarch said that the Lebanese have decided to live together, according to the National Pact, advocating partnership and parity. \"The Lebanese were always the pioneers of cultural and intellectual renaissance. Nowadays they are called upon to be a factor for peace in the Middle East, urging dialogue, understanding and reconciliation, while standing in solidarity with causes of the peoples of the region...far from violence and war, \"concluded the Maronite prelate.
