United States and its allies will find ways to reimpose sanctions on Iran if it is caught making nuclear weapons after reaching a deal to freeze its nuclear program, US National Security Adviser Susan Rice said on Sunday. In an interview with (CBS) news network, Rice denied what is rumored that once relaxed, the economic sanctions on Tehran would be hard to reinstate. She said "We will not construct a deal or accept a deal in which we cannot verify exactly what they are doing." In a related context, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union's Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton agreed Sunday on the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the P5 +1 at the expert level after the Christmas holiday. The negotiations between the experts of Iran and the P5+1 (US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany) had resumed last Thursday in Geneva to agree on a plan of action for the implementation of the agreement between the two sides last November in Geneva. During a press conference held recently, US President Barack Obama said that any new sanctions are not necessary on Iran as long as the negotiations on its nuclear program are continued.
