Italy will hold a post-Assad summit in Rome next week to discuss the possible outcome of Syria's civil war, Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi said Friday. "We launched the idea of a meeting to be held among senior officials to discuss post-Assad Syria. The summit will take place in Rome next week," ANSAmed reported Terzi as sayiing. It was not clear if the officials included ones from other countries, and if so, which nations would be participating. Terzi made the comments as he was leaving the prime minister's offices at Palazzo Chigi, where the government held a cabinet meeting today.
