
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani once again underlined Iran’s right to nuclear technology for civilian purposes and also the country’s right to uranium nuclear enrichment. "Iran's nuclear activities are peaceful and they will remain peaceful and Iran will not quit its nuclear rights, including (uranium) enrichment," (IRNA) quoted President Rouhani as saying in a meeting with visiting Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiech in Tehran. The Iranian president pointed to the status quo of Iran-China relations, and said, "The two countries' relations are strategic and Iran like China is willing to expand this strategic relationship to expand and also the two countries interactions to increase in different dimensions." Yang, for his part, conveyed the warm greetings of the Chinese President Xi Jinping, and said, "Beijing is after consolidation and expansion of strategic, international and regional cooperation with Iran in the field of combating terrorism and extremism and also helping to peacefully resolve the Syrian crisis.
