Rouhani: Weapons of mass destruction not in Iran’s defence doctrine

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Monday producing weapons of mass destruction is not part of Iran’s defense doctrine as it is against the country’s religious beliefs and national interest "Iran has never been and would never be after producing weapons of mass destruction", he stressed in an address to a national gathering to honor exemplary researchers and scientists, IRNA news agency reported. Creativity is the fruit of freedom, a safe and free society which helps its researchers is the prerequisite of creativity and progress, he added.
