Russia to host an international conference against terrorism this week

Russia will host on Friday and Saturday an international conference under the theme\" Islam Against Terrorism\". The conference is co-organized by the Kuwait-based International Moderation Centre (IMC), the moderation center in Russia and the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS). Russian Muslim leaders and Muslim scholars from around the Muslim world will participate at the conference. The conference is expected to put an Islamic law disapproving all forms of extremism. It is worthy to mention that the Dublin-based IUMS is founded in 2004, with the offices of the Secretary General in Nasr City, Egypt. Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a prominent cleric, is President of the Union; Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, Sheikh Ahmed bin Muhammad al-Khalili (Grand Mufti of Oman), Sheikh Mohammed Wa‘id-Zadeh (of Iran) share the position of Vice President of the Union.
