Russia on Thursday warned the Dutch authorities of \"possible consequences\" over the detention of a senior Russian diplomat in The Hague. Dutch police detained Dmitry Borodin, minister-counsellor of the Russian embassy in The Hague, after receiving a complaint from Borodin\'s neighbor over the diplomat\'s treatment of his own children. \"We expect that Dutch leadership will correctly analyze the possible consequences of its illegal actions,\" Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told reporters. Lukashevich said the detention is unacceptable as the Vienna Convention grants immunity to diplomatic staff.
