South Korea\'s chief nuclear negotiator is scheduled to pay a three-day Russia visit to meet with his counterparts over ending the Democratic People\'s Republic of Korea (DPRK)\'s nuclear program. Lim Sung-nam\'s visit follows the second round of rare talks between the United Sates and the DPRK in Geneva, which U.S. officials described as \"positive\". The two sides held the previous round of talks in July in New York, after Seoul and Pyongyang held their first denuclearization talks in more than two years. Pyongyang declared the six-party aid-for-denuclearization talks \"dead\" in 2009 but recently expressed its wish to return to the negotiating table, while Seoul and Washington insist Pyongyang abandon its uranium enrichment program and allow inspectors to verify the disarmament process. The talks also involve China and Japan.
