Prime Minister - designate Tammam Salam said that he wished upon MP Michel Aoun to maintain the consensus that developed over naming him prime minister-designate in the process of the Cabinet formation. Salam\'s remarks came today after meeting Aoun in Rabiyeh, adding that his cabinet would have a national mission, to oversee parliamentary elections. \"I will not run for the elections and I intend to stand down after the polls,\" Salam said. He expressed hope that the ministers in his government would not be running in the general elections, adding that this demands the approval of all the political parties.
