The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, has announced that a bridge linking the country to Egypt will be built over the Red Sea.
In a press conference with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the Presidential Palace in Cairo, King Salman said that this historic step represented by the land connection between the African and Asian continents is deemed a quantum leap as it promotes trade exchange between the two continents to unprecedented levels and supports the two countries exports.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques added, "The bridge will be an international outlet for promising projects between the two countries and a major transit for travellers such as pilgrims and tourists in addition to job opportunities that will be provided to the people of the region."
