
Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, received on Thursday a telephone call from U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
During the phone call, they discussed expanding areas of coordination between the U.S. and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states regarding the regional, international and military issues, in addition to enhancing the chances of stability in the region, including joint efforts in the fight against terrorism, as well as coordinating U.S.- Gulf efforts to counter extremism which is supported by some countries.
