
Acting Interior Undersecretary and President of the Supreme Security Committee for the 2nd International Conference for donors to support the humanitarian situation in Syria Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Fahad stressed on Wednesday the importance of the conference to be held in Kuwait next week and the readiness of the security committee for this event. This came in a meeting chaired by Al-Fahad which included assistant undersecretaries and a number of security leaders from the Interior Ministry, representatives of the army, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) and National Guard to review the latest preparations in this regard. The event will be sponsored by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah between 14 and 15 January. A statement issued by the Ministry of the Interior said that Al-Fahad discussed the rules of the security work during the conference, noting that the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister has stressed the importance of the military commitment, discipline and to demonstrate the prestige of the security man at all designated sites, in addition the well reception of Kuwait's guests. The statement quoted him as saying that the jurisdiction of the security committee of the conference is to carry out all security requirements in accordance with the rules and procedures in this regard, and develop a flexible traffic plan that would contribute to ensure smooth traffic during the event.
