Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa meets Terje Rod-Larsen

Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met here today the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy Terje Rod-Larsen. The Deputy Premier lauded the existing cooperation between Bahrain and the UN in all fields so as to benefit from its various development programmes. He commended the efforts of the UN Secretary-General and his assistants in promoting global security, stability and peace, praising the UN's role in supporting poor and stricken peoples and financing development projects for the sake of achieving development across the world. Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa reviewed with Terje Rod-Larsen the latest regional and global developments and issues of mutual concern.
