Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday appealed to the people to save the country from the current crises by voting for the right candidates. Addressing a public meeting organised by the Sindh United Party (SUP) in Hala, the former prime minister blasted the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led coalition government blaming it for the present ills of the masses including the deaths of nearly 600 children in Sindh and Balochistan due to measles. “The PPP government also failed to maintain law and order in Balochistan and Sindh especially Karachi where no one is safe due to the failure of the government,” he said. The PML-N chief aid that he and his party were against the two separate local bodies systems in Sindh and the people of the province have already rejected it. Sharif also claimed that if his party was given an opportunity he was confident of solving all the problems faced by the masses deprived of electricity, gas, employment and hit hard by sky-rocketing prices of essential food items. He said that the government was not implementing the verdicts of the courts and the people involved in criminal cases and those who looted the national wealth were given lucrative jobs and allowed to leave the country. The PML-N chief squarely blamed the government for the energy crisis and alleged that due to sheer negligence and rampant corruption of the ruling party’s leaders the industrial and agricultural sectors have been ruined.
