
Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the release of 143 prisoners of various nationalities from penal and reform institutions in the emirate on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Emirates News Agency( WAM) reported. Only those who have satisfied pardon conditions will be set free. The move comes in line with Sheikh Sultan’s keen interest to bolster stability of family and community. Speaking on the occasion, Major General Humaid Mohammed Al Hadidi, Commander-in -Chief of Sharjah, expressed his appreciation for this generous gesture, which, he said, will pave before the pardoned prisoners the way to draw lessons and lead a normal life and take care of their families, thus enhancing stability of the local community.
