Sharjah ruler receives municipal officials

H. H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, today in his office met the municipal councils \'directors in the emirate of Sharjah and the directors of municipalities. The move is part of Sheikh Sultan\'s keenness on personal follow up public services and implementation of his directives in this respect. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues relating to the regulation of work of the councils and municipalities. They also discussed ways to upgrade the level of services provided by the municipal councils and municipalities. Sheikh Sultan instructed the establishing of a finance committee composed of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, the Central Department of Finance and Human Resources Department, which will hold a meeting separately with each municipal in presence of the director of municipality. During these proposed meetings, the municipalities will present investments ideas which will be submitted to the Ruler of Sharjah for endorsement. The municipal councils and municipalities will reap revenues accrued from such ideas. The meeting was attended by Nasser Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture.
