Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of East Asia and Pacific Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAAIC), has visited Emirati patients currently undergoing medical treatment across various private hospitals in Bangkok, Thailand.

Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan led a delegation of senior ministry officials to check on the conditions of medical and health care services being administered to Emirati citizens, reflecting the UAE government’s interest in the health and wellbeing of its nationals.

During the visit made on the sidelines of the MOFA delegation's participation in the UAE - Thailand joint committee, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was briefed on the UAE embassy’s efforts in facilitating the medical treatment of Emiratis in Thailand.

MOFAAIC Director of the Department of East Asia and Pacific, said that the visit falls in line with the UAE government’s commitment towards checking the health and wellbeing of Emirati patients seeking treatment inside and outside the country.

He also pointed out that the UAE Embassy through the UAE embassy's health attache in Bangkok will extend all assistance needed by Emiratis seeking medical treatment abroad. He also directed the UAE embassy's health attache to conduct regular visits to Emirati patients, and further urging local healthcare officials to provide the best medical services for these Emirati patients.
