South Sudan President Silva KIIR Mayardit will pay a three-day visit to Khartoum early May, a Sudanese official source said The source said the visit, which will be the second since the separation of South Sudan , aims at completing the talks, that Mayardit started in Juba last Friday, with the Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir. It added that the two presidents will attend the export of the first shipment of South Sudan’s oil through Sudan’s Port Sudan. South Sudan Vice President Riek Machar will arrive in Khartoum on Saturday, heading his country’s delegation in the Sudan-South Sudan joint higher committee formed to follow up the implementation of the cooperation agreement. The Sudanese side in the committee will be headed by the Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Taha, the source said. In September 2012, Sudan and South Sudan signed nine cooperation agreements, including a framework agreement and specific agreements on oil, border issues, citizenship, and the division of debts and assets. The Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir visited Juba last Friday and held talks with his South Sudan counterpart on the prospects of bilateral cooperation and other topics of mutual interest.
