South Korea's Prime Minister to Discuss Cooperation with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

South Korea's prime minister Hwang Kyo-ahn is set to hold talks with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on Sunday to discuss ways to deepen cooperation between the two nations. 
Prime Minister Hwang plans to discuss ways to expand cooperation with Saudi Arabia in such sectors as renewable energy and medical and health care, along with traditional segments like construction and energy, according to his office. South Korea plans to ink five preliminary deals, including memorandums of understanding, on transportation and energy cooperation in Saudi Arabia, the second leg of the prime minister's overseas trip that includes Uzbekistan and Turkey, South Korean News Agency (Yonhap) reported. 
Hwang also plans to ask Saudi Arabia to offer a chance to South Korean firms to join the Middle Eastern country's projects to nurture new industries by 2030. 
"South Korea and Saudi Arabia have diversified the scope of their cooperation," Hwang said. "My visit to this country is aimed at building a future-oriented relationship with Saudi Arabia." The prime minister also said that major oil exporter Saudi Arabia's push to transfer itself into a knowledge-based society will be a new business opportunity for South Korea. 
It marked the first time since 2005 that a South Korean prime minister visited the country.
