Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with King Juan Carlos I of Spain in Moscow on July 19. According to the Russian news agency (Itar-Tass), the Spanish king will come to Russia on a working visit at the invitation of the Russian president. President Putin will present Juan Carlos I with a diploma and the badge of the Russian State Prize winner for outstanding achievements in the humanitarian field, the presidential press service said. The prize was awarded to the Spanish monarch by a presidential decree of February 23, 2011. Putin and Juan Carlos I will discuss prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in various areas. They will also meet with Russian and Spanish entrepreneurs in order to give an new impetus to bilateral trade and economic ties and boost joint investment projects, including in the oil and gas sector, in the fields of high technologies, energy, and transport infrastructure. The first such meeting in this format took place in February 2011 in St. Petersburg.
