Spanish prince\'s plane makes emergency landing, no injuries

An Airbus A310 carrying Spain's Prince Felipe to Honduras had to make an emergency landing in the Dominican Republic, officials said. No injuries were reported. The prince and members of the Spanish government were en route to Honduras Sunday for the swearing-in of the country's new president, Juan Orlando Hernandez, when the oil warning light on the aircraft was activated, the TheLocal.es reported Monday. After the safe landing, the crew and passengers waited for 9 hours until technical issues were resolved. It was the second time the state-owned airplane had technical issues that resulted in the grounding of a plane carrying the prince, officials said. On Nov. 24, Felipe missed a political conference in Brazil after a midair wing-flap malfunction forced an emergency landing.
