Specialized Criminal Court resumes sessions to re-try 17 defendants

The Specialized Criminal Court resumed its sessions today to re-try 17 defendants, including 16 Saudis and one Yemeni. The re-trial of the defendants is based on the Appeals Court\'s decision to cancel the initial sentences issued earlier by the criminal court specialized in this case. Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Justice Dr. Abdullah Alsa\'adan said the charges against the accused include the formation of a terrorist cell belonging to Alqaidah terrorist organization and other acts of terrorism.
