A expat worker of Sri Lankan origin was stabbed to death in Yanbu by his room-mate this week.
Mohamed Siyan Shihabdeen, 32, who was working for a glass factory in the port city of Yanbu was found dead following injuries due to stabbings.

The police have in this regard arrested a Yemeni worker who was working in the same shop. It was revealed that the suspect did not have any problems with the deceased and there had been no arguments between the two.
Preliminary investigations reveal that on the night of the murder the deceased was in his room, busy with his mobile phone around 12 midnight, before the alleged killer entered the room and stabbed him with a knife.
It was disclosed that the killer had called the police that he had committed the murder. Police have yet to confirm these statements.
