Two people were wounded by stray bullets Monday night during a rally organized by Hezbollah against a film insulting Islam’s Prophet Mohammad, security sources told The Daily Star Tuesday. Nisrine Mahmoud Dawergy and Ahmad Ali Shaaban, both 36, were hit in the shoulder when unknown Hezbollah supporters fired in the air during a demonstration in Beirut’s southern suburbs. The shots also damaged a number of residences in the area and caused fear among residents. Tens of thousands of people took part in the march protesting the movie, which originated in the U.S., chanting anti-Israel and anti-U.S. slogans. Hezbollah’s leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah made a rare, surprise appearance and gave a fiery speech, warning the U.S. against releasing the full version of “Innocence of Muslims.” The Daily Star
