A suicide bomb attack outside a police station in Turkey\'s capital killed one officer and injured at least seven others, Istanbul police said Tuesday. An attacker threw a hand grenade into the police station before blowing himself up at the entrance to the building, Today\'s Zaman reported. The blast occurred in a working-class and predominantly residential neighborhood on the northern edge of central Istanbul. Istanbul Police Chief Huseyin Capkin said the police officer at the entrance to the station was killed while three civilians were among the wounded. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack though similar attacks have been the work of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers\' Party.
