Suicide bombers attack NATO supply compound in Afghanistan

According to reports, a group of Taliban militants including suicide bombers have attacked a NATO supply compound in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. Local officials in Nangarhar province have confirmed the report, however they have not disclose further information regarding the incident, according to Afghan (Khaama Press). A local security official speaking on the condition of anonymity said that clashes between the militants and security forces are still ongoing inside the compound. The official further added that a number of the militants were killed during the clashes with the security forces, but clashes were still ongoing inside the compound. There are no reports regarding the casualties. Taliban militants group has claimed responsibility behind the incident. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement that several American troops have been killed during the clashes, and heavy damages were incurred to the military base. Coalition security forces have not commented regarding the incident so far.
