Lebanese President, Michel Suleiman, on Tuesday repeated his previous call on Iran to equip the Lebanese army. “Lebanese government has already failed to equip the Lebanese army,” the president underlined. He declared support for Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement\'s armament, adding that armament of the Resistance would increase Lebanese defensive power. If Lebanon gets occupied by enemies, arms of the Resistance will help the Lebanese army defend the country\'s soil, Lebanese president stressed. Hezbollah is a Shiaa Muslim resistant group and a political party based in Lebanon, leading the March 8 Alliance Party in the country. The high-ranking Lebanese official said that Lebanese facilitation for Iranian travelers including visa has not been cancelled and they have the opportunity to take their visa in Beirut airport. President Suleiman had officially asked Iran in his 2010 visit to Tehran to equip and modernize the Lebanese Army. Iran has announced that its defense industry has the capacity to supply arms to more than 50 countries. Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years.
