Lebanese President Michel Suleiman said Thursday that he will attend the upcoming Donors' Conference on Syria in Kuwait late this month, which was called upon by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Lebanese Information Minister Walid Al-Daooq quoted the Lebanese leader as saying during a weekly cabinet meeting in the presidential palace. The upcoming meeting will also be attended by United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Arab leaders. During the last 33th GCC summit in Manama, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced the first Donors' Conference on Syria in support of the Syrian people. Kuwait has made a number of financial aid assistance to a number of international organizations, including the UN's refugee agency amid efforts to ease the suffering of people in disaster affected areas.
