During his visit to Kuwait, Lebanon's President Michel Suleiman, would take part in the Third Africa-Arab Summit on November 19-20 and seize the opportunity to talk with the Kuwaiti leadership on bolstering the historic brotherly relations tying the two countries, Lebanese Environment Minister Nazem El Khoury said here on Monday. The president's visit holds significant political and economic dimensions regarding the enhancement of Kuwaiti-Lebanese relations given the fact that the present situation required great collective Arab efforts, he said. On sidelines of the Kuwait-hosted summit conference, the Lebanese president is expected to meet His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for talks on bilateral relations and developments in the region in general, the minister said. "The president is to brief attendees of the summit conference with development of the internal situation in Lebanon and reflections of the Syrian crisis especially the conditions of the refugees," he said, noting that the burdens were heavy on the side of the Lebanese government with regard to the Syrian refugees which required urgent collective international support. The Kuwait summit, due on Tuesday, would bring together the leaders of African and Arab countries for two days of talks on ways to back up the investment and development partnership of the two regions.
