Swiss Ambassador summoned to Tehran

Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday summoned Swiss ambassador to Tehran over the new US hostile move against Iran.The Swiss Embassy in Tehran officially represents US interests in the Islamic Republic. A note has been surrendered to the Swiss envoy conveying Tehran\'s serious protests against the US baseless accusation saying Iran has been involved in the assassination plan of Saudi ambassador to Washington, based on the resolution \'condemning terrorist attacks against those under the coverage of the 1973 convention\' ratified by the United Nations. Deputy foreign minister in charge of international political affairs in the meeting condemned the US proposed resolution which was approved against Iran under the US political pressures on the UN General Assembly member countries and on the basis of a biased and baseless report by American sources. The Iranian official also called on Washington to fullfil its commitments regarding the UN Charter and the 1973 Convention.
