Syria civil war claims at least 1000 more on top of chemical victims

Despite a global outcry regarding the Syrian regime\'s attack on civilians with chemical gas, forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad continue killings as more than 1,000 lives were claimed across the country since the infamous chemical attack of August 21. Syrian army attacked suburbs in Damascus, Aleppo, Dara\'a, Deir al-Zor and Latakia after the chemical attack, the Local Coordination Committees of Syria (LCC) said Wednesday. According to LCC, 1,280 people have died, including 114 children and 214 women alongside 40 more killed under torture. The Assad regime\'s chemical gas attack on Ghouta, a suburb near Damascus, resulted in the deaths of over 1,000 civilians on August 21. Meanwhile, pro-Assad forces have killed 101,513 people between March 2011 and August 21, 2013, the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) stated. This figure is composed of 89,644 civilians, including 10,914 children and 9,911 women.
