Hezbollah should prepare for the post-Bashar Assad era and reconsider its stance regarding the Syrian uprising, the head of the Syrian National Council Abdel-Basset Sida said. “Hezbollah must reconsider its positions and get ready for the post-Assad phase,” Sida told As-Seyasah Kuwaiti daily published Sunday. Sida also said Hezbollah must engage itself in a serious dialogue with the different Lebanese parties to discuss building a strong national state. He expressed hope that Hezbollah Chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s statements that his party is not fighting beside the regime forces are true, but said there are indicators ofHezbollah’s involvement in the Syrian fighting. “Of course, we don’t wish such indicators to confirm Hezbollah’s involvement in the Syrian regime crackdown against rebels, and we hope they will prove wrong,” Sida said.
