The First Vice-President of the Republoc, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has got acquainted with general security situations in North Darfur State and steps being taken to solve issue of Jebel Amir and its impacts. This came when the First Vice-President received Monday at the Republican Palace the Wali (governor) of North Darfur State, Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir, who affirmed the stability of security and humanitarian situations in the state. Kibir said that he briefed the First Vice-President on the agricultural season, disclosing that North Darfur State has realized a surplus in agricultural production. He added that the meeting reviewed the arrangements for CECAFA Football Championship which will be held during June 18-July 4 in North Darfur and South Kordofan States. Kibir said the championship will be held under auspices of the First Vice-President of the Republic.
