The First Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has affirmed the commitment of the government to boost the project for development of North Kordofan State. This came when Taha received Tuesday at the Republican Palace the Wali (governor) of North Kordofan State, Mirghani Hussein Zaki-Eddin. In a statement to the press after the meeting, Zaki-Eddin said that he acquainted the First Vice - President of the security, health and agricultural situation in the state as well as the project of North Kordofan State development, indicating that Taha has pledged to support implementation of the project and the education process in the state. The Wali announced that a number of schools will be inaugurated in North Kordofan State in the coming period. Zaki-Eddin said that he briefed the First Vice - President in detail about progress of the water harvest project at all the localities in North Kordofan State, adding that the state is enjoying security and stability in all its localities.
