Talabani lauds initiative Kuwait amnesty for Iraqi prisoners

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Thursday said the initiative of the State of Kuwait from Iraqi prisoners pardon will remove barriers to the relationship the two countries, calling for consolidation of the principles of brotherhood among peoples. In a cable of thanks sent to Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Talabani said the initiative left the best effect, especially as it coincided with the sighting of the month of Ramadan", according to a statement issued by the Office of the Iraqi President.
