Tantawi meets John Kerry

Chief of the Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF) Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi has met today chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator John Kerry and the delegation accompanying him. Tantawi and Kerry discussed the regional developments and the mutual relations between the two countries and how to enhance them. The American delegation praised the success of the first phase of the Egyptian parliamentary elections regarded as the first step towards a democratic transition, and the wide popular turnout during them. Kerry has met Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri earlier today, where they discussed the Egyptian government''s efforts to restore security to the Egyptian street considered as the catalyst for the foreign investment return to the Egyptian market.
