The Islamabad police have recovered a heavy cache of weapons and ammunition from a vehicle foiling a terror plan in the federal capital, police sources said on Saturday. According to sources, police conducted a search operation and found arms from a vehicle parked inside a house situated in Chattha Bakhtawar area in the jurisdiction of Shahzad Town police station, Islamabad. The police ammunition recovered included suicide jackets, hand grenades and rocket launchers. The police cordoned off the area and called in the Bomb Disposal Squad for further checking. The police sources said that no information was received about the vehicle. Police arrested the motorists and shifted them to some unknown place. It is reported that the action was taken after a suspect was arrested on Friday. Four more suspects have been arrested from the area. It is likely that the suspects were planning to launch a serious terror activity. Further investigations are underway.
