\'\'The security of Israel and its right to life are an inseparable part of the security of Italy and its existential values\'\'. So said Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi, in an interview for the Yediot Ahronot newspaper in Tel Aviv, during his visit in Israel today. \'\'We can not imagine an offensive or a call to the destruction of Israel without fearing for our own security\'\', Terzi specified. When we treat and discuss Iran\'s military nuclear program, we do it knowing that it is a sensitive issue for our security.\'\' In the interview, the minister stressed that the international sanctions have \'\'a dramatic influence on the economy of Iran\'\'. In presenting Terzi (former ambassador to Tel Aviv) as \'\'one of the greatest friends of Israel\'\' the paper notes that the minister seems to be opposed to an Israeli attack to Iran at this stage and seemed to believe that sanctions are still the best way to preceed. \'\'The sanctions on Iranian oil is a turning point\'\' said Terzi. \'\'Together with sanctions on the banking system, they have a dramatic influence on the Irania economy and have led to an opening of the regime to conduct a dialogue\'\'.\'\'No one - added Terzi - has precise information about the time that will take to Iran to obtain effective nuclear weapons. The determination of Europe and the transatlantic treaty to prevent this possibility is, in my opinion, very high. We must accelerate the economic and political pressure on Iran, expanding what already agreed with countries such as Russia and China and involved countries of the region, such as Turkey, but also countries such as Brazil and India; isolate Iran so it will have no choice.\'\'
